Late Shri Bhikulalji Nabira virtually felt a genuine need to set up a learning centre in the place like Katol and thus, the outcome was the birth of this institution in June 1961 to transform this rural area into a 'Learning Hub' . The aim of the institution was to cater to the needs of students aspiring for higher education. Its importance grows higher especially in view of the fact that the person who envisaged it, who had his school upto standard IV only & was not a high profile scholar himself, but a man born in remote Jaisalmer [Rajasthan] and adopted in Katol, did all kinds of odds to earn bread.
